- snowtime

Just got this shot before my No. 1 (of 3) snowman keeled over after a long hard day above zero degrees. Gave him a new head at dusk and he's right as snow now after a b... freezing night. We're off for a walk now - we might be some time!

- from 2011, but topical!

The Protest March by the people of Sheffield ending up at Barkers Pool in the centre of the City. It took a catastrophe for the NHS to be appreciated and applauded! I wonder how long the appreciation will last? Fellow Welshman Aneurin Bevan might not be turning as much as he has been over the last 10 years!!

- Civil Service Club, Gt Scotland Yard, London

Following my last post on 10th February - yet a another freebee - the front cover on the Civil Service Club Events Booklet for 2020. The Club is on Great Scotland Yard which is off Whitehall - less than 100 metres from Trafalgar Square. It’s a most convenient place to stay and not that expensive considering it’s location but you have to be pretty civil and a bit of a servant to be a member!

- 3 (of 14) new paintings

3 of the new paintings in the enlarged, paperbacked version of my book. Been meaning to do Sheffield City Hall for some time!

- Venice Flood

I'm going to have to update my painting of St Mark's Square! Venice is the most beautiful place I've ever visited (in 2007) and the place I would most like to revisit. It's been flooded like this before so I hope they get back to normal again soon. Good Luck!

- Stella's 5th Birthday Party with Family

Derwentwater Arms, Calver, Derbyshire - on their website: "Traditional, family-run pub dating back to 1708 and serving global comfort food and real ales" - attached is the proof that it truly is a family friendly pub/restaurant. This (early) evening, Stella (in the unicorn dressing gown) with her Dad David and Cousin Rory at the bar. Happy 5th Birthday Stella! xx

- yet another coffee time sketch

Coffee time sketch from Café Aro, Placa de sa Constitucio, Soller, Mallorca. Right hand entrance to the Church of Sant Bartomeu. Sketched this Church many, many times - twice in May this year!

- coffee time sketches from the Soller Valley, Mallorca

Photos of coffee time sketches of our recent visit to Puerto Soller and the Soller Valley in Mallorca. I filled in 10 pages with these sketches (and notes) of the visitors book of the apartment we were staying in. Liz Baines, the owner seemed worried that I'd used up so many pages in the book! That's her pink scooter.

- Whitby Abbey galore!

It's Halloween. I've drawn/painted Whitby Abbey many times but I've never seen Dracula nor been bitten by a vampire - but there again I do eat a lot of garlic! This year I thought I should join in the occasion and post a collection of my Whitby Abbey artwork.
